What is Knee Arthroscopy?

Knee arthroscopy is one of the surgical procedure that helps the surgeons in investigating and correcting the problems with the help of the small tool called arthroscope. It is one of the minimally invasive methods of surgery that is used to treat and diagnose the issues in the joints. The arthroscope is like a catheter and has the small camera attached to it. This technique usually requires only small cut over the skin. People undergo Knee arthroscopy when they have one of the following complications,
·         Continuous joint pain
·         Damaged cartilage
·         Floating fragments of bone or cartilage
·         Building up of fluid inside the joints which must be removed

People choose arthroscopy than any other techniques due to the following reason,
·         Reduced tissue damage
·         Fewer stitches
·         Very short recovery time

The recent advancement proves that the people with degenerative disorders and arthritis can be treated by this technique to the certain level.
