Septal Myectomy

Since the medical field has been modernized an effort to improve the standard of living of the patients has also been increased. One among the improvement in the surgery field is the Septal myectomy which is used to reduce the muscle thickening that usually occurs in the patient with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. This procedure is one of the best way to treat the HCM patients. Septal Myectomy technique is usually suggested when the obstructions in the heart severely restricts the blood ejection from the heart.
What is Septal Myectomy?
During this surgical procedure the surgeons usually removes the small amount of thickened septal wall to widen the outflow tract from the left ventricle to the aorta. So that this helps in the free flow of blood. Usually patients also experience the rapid relaxation of symptoms after this procedure.

Routine blood tests, a chest X-ray and an electrocardiogram
