BROKEN EYE SOCKET: SYMPTOMS AND SURGERY

The broken eye socket generally causes the intense pain, swelling and a black eye which becomes easier to recognize and diagnose.
Generally, the eye socket is the bony structure covering the eye and protecting it during various conditions. Most of the parts of the eyes are hard, thick and difficult to break while the other parts are fragile and more prone to breaking.



What is the broken eye socket?
The eye socket which is generally called the orbit, while it feels like the solid structure it consists of the seven different bones that connect to create the four different areas. During that time the fracture may happen at any of the parts of the eye socket it is generally called as the broken eye syndrome.

Surgery for broken eye socket?
Surgery for treating the broken eye socket is usually risky and is not always the best treatment method opted. In extreme cases where the surgery is mandatory, the surgeons usually start the surgical procedures when the swelling around the eye socket reduces.

Certain symptoms that indicate the surgical procedures are,
An eye that is pushed back into the eye socket after the several weeks of healing.
Lasting facial deformity
Vision changes or double vision problems.
Surgical procedures include:
Freeing the trapped muscles, ligaments or nerves.
Removing the bone fragments.

Repairing the deformities.
