Surgery and Infection-Mystery behind neurosurgery!

According to a recent study, the thing is that neurosurgery could spread protein linked to Alzheimer's disease.

According to a recent study, the thing is that neurosurgery could spread protein linked to Alzheimer's disease.
Certain researchers found that there may be rare chances for the cause of Alzheimer’s disease through certain proteins associated with the instruments in surgery. Surgical instruments used in neuro operations should be ensured that they are not contaminated with proteins related to Alzheimer’s disease.

The researchers are promoting the surgeons to decontaminate neurosurgical tools more keenly as a precautionary measure to reduce the potential risk of spreading abnormal proteins known to build up in the brains of Alzheimer’s patients.
Alzheimer’s diseases estimated to affect more than half a million people in Britain. This is the condition that impairs memory and cognitive abilities and is caused by the buildup of toxic protein deposits in the brain. The two kinds of proteins one of them called amyloid beta plaques to form between the nerve cells and the other called tau proteins is found inside the nerve cells.

Still, furthermore research works are carried out to ensure if there is any link between these medical procedures and Alzheimer’s disease.

Recent advancement in the field of surgery

As we know medical advancement in the field of robotics and noninvasive surgery have changed the procedures in the operating room. But the fact is that these technologies have not yet reached the success to the full extreme due to their novelty and cost.

1.MINIMALLY INVASIVE SURGERY

Minimally invasive surgery can be considered as the one of the boons to the medical field because the surgery would not be possible without the doctor in the past decades but now the surgical procedures has been modernized the best example is the natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery where the instruments enters through the openings in the body instead of cutting the skin.

2.ROBOTIC SURGERY

The next level improvement in the medical field after the minimally invasive surgery is the robotic surgery. Robots have been introduced into the field of surgery only in the recent years. In these kinds of robotic surgery, the doctors usually control the robots through the computer. This fact proves that the surgery nowadays has been modernized and gained greater development when compared to the past decades.

3.TELESURGERY

More interesting development than the robotic surgery is the telesurgery in which the doctors may not be physically present they may present in the different countries and may assist the surgery through telecommunication. The challenging fact is the time delay in the transmission of data between two locations.

It is obvious that the growth in the field of surgery has improved the standard of living of the patients and made the surgery painless and took the medical field to the next generation.

BROKEN EYE SOCKET: SYMPTOMS AND SURGERY

The broken eye socket generally causes the intense pain, swelling and a black eye which becomes easier to recognize and diagnose.
Generally, the eye socket is the bony structure covering the eye and protecting it during various conditions. Most of the parts of the eyes are hard, thick and difficult to break while the other parts are fragile and more prone to breaking.

What is the broken eye socket?
The eye socket which is generally called the orbit, while it feels like the solid structure it consists of the seven different bones that connect to create the four different areas. During that time the fracture may happen at any of the parts of the eye socket it is generally called as the broken eye syndrome.

Surgery for broken eye socket?
Surgery for treating the broken eye socket is usually risky and is not always the best treatment method opted. In extreme cases where the surgery is mandatory, the surgeons usually start the surgical procedures when the swelling around the eye socket reduces.

Certain symptoms that indicate the surgical procedures are,
An eye that is pushed back into the eye socket after the several weeks of healing.
Lasting facial deformity
Vision changes or double vision problems.
Surgical procedures include:
Freeing the trapped muscles, ligaments or nerves.
Removing the bone fragments.

Repairing the deformities.
